Uchi
Uchi はベネズエラ生まれ、アメリカのマイアミ育ちの実験・電子音楽家でありノイズアーティストである。19歳でDJとしてキャリアをスタートした後、Boiler Roomをきっかけとして、ハードウェアのライブとノイズを始めた。Recondite主幹のPlangent RecordsからのEP、コンピレーションのリリースに加え、DJ tennis の率いるレーベル Life and Death からのコンピレーションへの参加も果たしている。ここ2年間で世界的に活躍するようになり、INC (International Noise Conference)、De School、Output、Panorama Barに加え、最近ではBerghainの新しいフロアのSäuleでもプレイしている。ジャンルに囚われないUchiのライブ、DJセットや作品は強度を変えながら、パターンを分解し再構築することで進化し続ける。
Uchi is an experimental electronic musician and noise artist born in Venezuela and raised in Miami. She started to DJ at age 19. She later began to play hardware live sets and noise after being asked to put together one for Boiler Room. Her first EP and track compilation contribution was released on Plangent Records. For the last two years she’s traveled to play several parts of the world, at events and venues such as INC (International Noise Conference), De School, Output, Panorama Bar and most recently Säule, the new floor of Berghain. In 2018 an album will be released, as well as some tapes. Not confined to any specific genre, her live-sets, DJ sets, and recordings are constantly evolving, changing intensity, deconstructing and reformatting patterns. You won’t be sure what to expect.
